The Shadow of the Temple is an outdoor immersive experience in the heart of Paris’s 3rd arrondissement.
Participants take on the role of investigators helping La Gazette de Lutèce, an independent newspaper, uncover the disturbing activities of a Neo-Templar organization operating in the historic Temple district.

Somewhere between a treasure hunt, escape game, and immersive theater, the experience transforms Paris into your game set. Every street and façade becomes part of the investigation, filled with encounters and surprising revelations.

La Gazette de Lutèce is an independent newspaper specializing in the urban mysteries of Paris.
Free from any financial or political influence, the Gazette investigates forgotten stories, secret societies, and the hidden corners of the capital.

One of the Gazette’s journalists is leading the investigation but needs help to take it further in the field.

The Shadow of the Temple is a hybrid experience.
It combines elements of a treasure hunt, escape game mechanics, and interactions with characters, without fitting strictly into any one of these categories.

The investigation lasts about 1h30.
Plan for approximately 1h45 on site, including the debrief with the Game Master at the end of the session.

The game is neither particularly easy nor deliberately difficult.

The experience focuses primarily on immersion and storytelling rather than the complexity of the puzzles.

The investigation covers approximately 2 km in the Temple district (75003).

The exact starting point is kept secret, but it is located in Square du Temple, in Paris’s 3rd arrondissement.

Your investigation will end near the starting point. 

There is no cloakroom on site.

It is recommended to bring:

• As few belongings as possible

Groups made up entirely of minors do not require an accompanying adult from age 16 onward.

Playing with 6 players is strongly discouraged, as the game is not designed for groups of that size.

Yes, pets are allowed during the investigation. However, keep in mind that it involves a one-and-a-half-hour walk through the streets of Paris with various interactions along the way. 

There are no restrooms provided by the organization during the experience. However, since the game takes place in the streets of Paris, public restrooms are available.

We understand that unpredictable weather can be stressful. Our team will do its best to ensure you enjoy your experience under the best possible conditions.

Participants will be contacted in advance if the weather is expected to be too unfavorable.

If the weather changes during your session, the Game Masters will guide you on the procedure to follow and provide umbrellas temporarily if needed.

The investigation takes place entirely outdoors.
It is offered from spring to autumn and is not available from November to February due to weather conditions.
